In 2024, Circle hosted our first policy consultation session. At the session, we brought together a group of tenants to look at the Rent-Geared-to-Income administration policies, which have a big impact on our RGI tenants. These policies are highly regulated by the government, so there is a lot in them that can’t be changed or adjusted by Circle. However, there are some aspects of these policies that are flexible – These are what we focused on at our policy consultation.
At the session, we had a wide-ranging discussion with tenants about the different ways that these policies affect their lives, and what changes they’d like to see. Following the session, Circle management sat down and made a number of changes to the policies based on what we heard from tenants.
