vision, mission and values

Who We Are
Circle Community LandTrust was founded in 2017 to protect and invest in over 600 single-family homes scattered across east Toronto, East York, central Scarborough, Malvern, and more. These homes were transferred to Circle from their previous owner Toronto Community Housing Corporation in 2022 with the agreement that these homes – some of the last affordable family-sized rental homes in Toronto – would remain affordable for today’s tenants and future generations. To learn more about our founding and the transfer, check out The Circle Story.

Our Mission

To protect and enhance our irreplaceable portfolio of homes, promoting resilience, opportunity and community for our tenants, while expanding affordable housing access in Toronto.

Our Vision

Well-maintained, perpetually affordable homes – strengthening housing stability and fostering mixed-income neighbourhoods for today’s tenants and future generations

Circle is a tenant-centred landlord and social housing operator that provides quality, sustainable homes, and fosters stability, opportunity, and community for our tenants. Our ambitious Capital Repair Program to bring all homes into a state of good repair over a five-year period is underway and will benefit hundreds of families for generations to come. We are proud to work with our diverse community of tenants to foster a culture that is inclusive, engaged, and amplifies their voices. To learn more about what we do, check out Our Work.
