In 2022, over 600 homes were transferred to Circle so that they would remain affordable forever. Many of the homes needed repairs, renovations, and upgrades – and our team has been busy getting this work done!
Thanks to multiple levels of government, Circle is receiving over $70 million in funding and financing for our Capital Repair Program – giving us a once-in-a-generation opportunity to renovate and repair our housing portfolio. As with all other Circle initiatives, quality, accessibility, sustainability, and social procurement are big priorities.
This Spring, we released Retrofit & Renew: Capital Repairs Beyond Rent-Ready in 600+ Homes, a report that details the work that we have accomplished so far.
